We don't just make wine.
Connected to the terroir of Murr for generations. Discover our history and the people behind Rebenwerk Murr.
What makes our wines so special?
Great wines are not made in the cellar, but in the vineyard. That is why we rely on consistent manual labor, selective harvesting, and plenty of time. Every single vine is cared for individually by us.
Whether long aging periods in traditional wooden barrels or the organic approach in the vineyard – we give our wines the peace they need to fully develop their character.
The face behind the wine
We are a family winery where every generation contributes its strengths. Together, we work every day to bring out the best in our vines.

Where our wines grow
Special regional sites with a character all their own — soil and climate in Murr shape every one of our vintages.

A site that stands for structure and spice. The Keuper soil produces character-strong wines with delicate acidity and a long-lasting finish. Keuper is a deep, fertile soil type with excellent water retention properties. It has a rather complex composition consisting of sandstone, proportions of clay, gypsum sediments, and other components such as loess or – often colored reddish by oxidation – marl. Keuper produces aromatically intense, full, and powerful wines. It is characterized by a high content of potassium and magnesium and is also rich in other trace elements.
Grown over generations
Our family has been at home in agriculture for generations. For a long time, arable farming and livestock breeding were the focus, and wine was a sideline for our own sales. Over time, the demands for quality and the wishes of our customers changed, and viticulture moved more and more to the forefront.
In 1999, a new chapter began with the first 18 ares of vineyard. Today, we cultivate around 56 ares, all organically certified. With the new plantings, we deliberately broke new ground and brought varieties like Merlot, Rosa Chardonnay, and Sauvignac to Murr. In this way, we combine our family's tradition with the courage to try new things.
